Higher Gills ia a working sheep farm & we also rear some beef suckler young stock.
The Farmhouse & buildings were built in 1800 from local sandstone.
Darrell & Freda now retired, live in the farmhouse.
Keith & Alison who run the farm, live next door, in what was the barn, now converted.
The stable block was converted in 1998 into 2 apartments.
We kept as many of the original exterior features as possible.
Easily explore excellent cycling in the Forest of Bowland and The Yorkshire Dales.
Enjoy sea and sand with Southport, Blackpool, Morecambe Bay or mountains and lakes in The Lake district all a short drive away.
